In a discussion over at Apartment Therapy, some commenters brought up the fairly obvious but still awesome idea of making your own patterned shelf liners using fabric or decorative paper with clear shelf liner on top. Using this technique, you could completely customize your drawers and shelves to your decor. Here’s an example of clear shelf liner from the Container Store:

Shelf liners: useful but yawn-inducing. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a pop of color, in a fantastic pattern, to greet you every time you open a drawer or cabinet? It seems like not too many manufacturers have caught on yet, but here are some of the best finds around right now.
